Salutation Hotel Perth
The oldest established hotel in Scotland, the Salutation has been welcoming guests through its doors since 1699. One of the most famous patrons to sample our hospitality was Bonnie Prince Charlie who stayed here in 1745, at the height of his struggle to regain the throne for the Stuart Kings. The hotel has 84 bedrooms all with ensuite facilities. In addition to our standard rooms, we offer superior rooms and a four poster bedroom. Special care bedrooms are available. All bedrooms have television, refreshments tray and direct dial telephones. The hotel also has a lift. We are continuously refurbishing our bedrooms to provide the best comfort. As a guest in our Adam Restaurant you will enjoy the splendour of this grand room with its original barrel vaulted ceiling and the neo-classical Adam style window. Our dedicated and experienced team of chefs use only the finest and freshest ingredients many of which are sourced locally. The best in Scottish meat and fish dishes are served from our carvery or alternatively choose from our tempting a la carte menu. An extensive world wine list complements your meal perfectly. A hearty Scottish Breakfast stars your day from our hot and cold buffet.
Kenmore Hotel Perth
The Kenmore – A Privately owned hotel, is situated in the Heart of the Scottish Highlands, deep within Rob Roy and Campbell country. Nestling on the banks of the River Tay the Hotel is famous for its warmth, charm, Highland hospitality and vivid history. A beautiful setting and historical location offer a touch of paradise unspoiled by time. Rooms, restaurants and bars offers superb views of the mountains and river. Rabbie Burns in 1782 was so struck by the area, that he composed a poem sitting on the bridge over the Tay and wrote it in pencil on the chimney breast of the fireplace in our Poet's bar where it is to this day. An 18 month refurbishment program brought the hotel bedrooms and amenities into the 21st century, while taking great care to maintain the historical character and charm of Scotland's Oldest Inn. We are sure you'll feel relaxed from the glow of a roaring log fire and hand Burn's poems in the bar to the friendly staff and fantastic food and scenery.
